Sayyid Amiruddin is said by his Shaykh, Sultan ul-Awliya al-Sayyid al-Sharif Mawlana Shaykh Nazim to be “one of closer ones to Mahdi alaihi salam” and as such is a reliable source for information and ideas.
In Sufism, he is an authorized Khalifa of the late Naqshbandi GrandShaykh, H.E. al-Sayyid al-Sharif Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Adil al-Haqqani with over twenty-three degrees of Ijazahs from him since 2002.
In March of 2013, Shaykh Nazim authorized Sayyid Amiruddin in the ‘Aliid transmission of the Most Distinguished Naqshbandi Sufi Order.
A staunch monarchist, royalist, and a devout advocate of the Sharif Huissein ibn Ali – the Sharif of Mecca – view on pan-Arabism and Arab nationalism, Sayyid has advised Canadian officials on policy related matters since 2005. He was personally called upon by the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, has addressed at conferences along side US Vice President Al Gore, and some of Canada’s leading intellectuals, and was called to testify before the Senate of Canada.
Sayyid Amiruddin has made over 110 national media appearances, is mentioned in the WikiLeaks cables, and is cited as an inspirational leader in the “Laurier M.A. Journal on Religion and Culture”.
In 2013, H.E. Qutb al-Aqtab al-Sayyid al-Sharif Mawlana Shaykh Adnan Kabbani predicted Sayyid would be “one of the main inheritors of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and the Naqshbandi Sufi Way”, while his brother, H.E. Madad ul-Haqq al-Sayyid al-Sharif Dr. Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani declared in writing after the passing of Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Adil al-Haqqani in 2014, Sayyid Amiruddin was “one of the forty deputies of Mahdi ‘alayhi salam“.
